A femicide took place in a soup restaurant on Sur Street in Istanbul's Bayrampaşa, Yenidoğan District.
Gülya Akça (54) left the soup shop they ran together with Hüseyin Çizmeci in Gaziosmanpaşa, ending their partnership 4 days ago. Akça started working at another soup restaurant in Bayrampaşa.
Yesterday evening, Hüseyin Çizmeci went to the shop where Gülya Akça worked. The two started arguing. Hüseyin Çizmeci shot Akça 4 times with the gun he had with him. Meanwhile, Çizmeci, who saw the police teams coming, pointed the gun at his own head and fired.
Upon notification, medical teams arrived at the scene and took the 2 seriously injured people to the hospital by ambulance. Gülya Akça could not be saved despite all the interventions in the hospital. It was learned that Hüseyin Çizmeci, who was seriously injured, continues his treatment in the hospital.
Akça's close friend Serpil Aday, who said that Akça had overcome cancer before, said, "She was a person who loved to struggle. She survived cancer 5-10 years ago. It was breast cancer.
