Shocking new video shows the moment a man seated at a bar was attacked with a scythe in Brazil.
The incident took place on January 18 in the Sobradinho region of Brazil’s Federal District, according to local reports.
Footage of the incident shows the 54-year-old victim seated at a table — when a man barges into the establishment with a scythe and strikes the victim behind the head.
As the victim fell unconscious to the ground, the suspect then hit the victim twice more on the head with the weapon, according to the video.
The attack came to an end after a customer inside the bar threw at chair at the culprit who eventually fled the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition as he awaits surgery for fractures to his jaw.
Police in Brazil have identified the suspect although the man remains at large at this time.
Witnesses said the attack stemmed over some sort of confrontation involving a vehicle, but no further details have been released.
