New surveillance video obtained shows the moment a retired military police officer was shot dead in Brazil.
The homicide took place Sunday morning December 19 as the 50-year-old veteran left a supermarket while accompanied by his wife in Nilópolis, according to local reports.
Video shows the couple coming out of the establishment when two suspects inside a parked gray sedan come out blasting shots at him from behind.
The unsuspecting victim fell to the ground, and the gunmen finished the job, unloading several more shots in the victim’s head who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman was struck in the leg but managed to get away.
A motive behind the crime is unclear at this time and an investigation is ongoing.
