Today, Tuesday, May 7, the judicial authority in Abyan Governorate executed death sentences against four people convicted of multiple murders, in the presence of leaders of the security and judicial services and crowds of citizens.

A statement issued by the Abyan Governorate Security Department explained that the death sentence was carried out against: “Salah Abdul Hamid Saleh Hanash Al-Muzahimi and Khaled Abdul Raqeeb Ghaleb Al-Muzahimi” for killing “Saleh Ali Saleh Al-Haddi and his companion Alaa Qasim Ali Al-Humayqani.”

The “sentence of legal retaliation” was also implemented against the convict “Abdullah Masoud Al-Hushbi” for raping and killing the child “Mithaq Al-Dabiya”. On March 22, 2023, the funeral of the child “Mithaq” was held in the Zinjibar District, the center of Abyan Governorate, with the participation of crowds of citizens, days after the issuance of the ruling. The death sentence was imposed on his killer by the city's court.

The fourth convict who was executed was "Ahmed Saleh Omar Al-Jawfi" for killing a citizen in the Lawdar District of Abyan Governorate.

The Security Department statement stated that the implementation of the sentences took place in the presence of the Director General of the Governorate's Security, Brigadier General Ali Nasser Bouzid (Abu Mishal Al-Kazmi), a number of judges, chief prosecutors, and local authority officials, and in the presence of a crowd of Zinjibar residents and families of the victims.

In its statement, the Abyan Governorate Security Administration confirmed its tireless efforts with the judiciary to resolve the remaining cases. Calling on citizens to continuously cooperate with security forces for the public interest.

In Shabwa Governorate, the courtyard of the central prison in the city of Ataq witnessed, yesterday, Monday, May 6, the implementation of the “sentence of legal retaliation” by the Shabwa Court against the convict “A, Kh, S, D” (27 years old) for deliberately killing the victim, “Sabri Qasim.”
