Saturday, May 4, a pool hall located in the Los Rosales neighborhood of Soledad became the scene of a violent act. Anthony Junior Rivera Sandoval, a 20-year-old young man who was performing security duties at the establishment, was mortally wounded by gunshots from an unidentified individual.
The attack occurred around 11:30 p.m. and also left two people injured: Willy José Lozada Ortega, 39, and Danilo José Quintero Silva, 21. Both received medical attention at the Agrupasalud Clinic after being hit by the projectiles.
Rivera Sandoval, who suffered serious injuries from three shots, one of them in the head, was rushed to the Juan Domínguez Romero Hospital. Unfortunately, he passed away shortly after his admission. Despite the statements of his relatives, who assured that the victim had no known conflicts, investigators from the CTI of the Prosecutor's Office revealed an altercation prior to the tragic event, related to the payment of an outstanding billiards account.
