A woman died after being involved in an accident involving seven vehicles near Lintas Square on Jalan Lintas here on Tuesday evening.

In the incident at about 6pm, the 26-year-old victim was confirmed dead at the scene after being trapped in his vehicle which was stuck under a lorry.

Head of the Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), Ordine Gilu, said he received a call about the incident at 6.08pm.

He said, a total of 14 members were chased to the scene of the incident which is six kilometers away from BBP Kota Kinabalu.

"According to information, the accident involved seven vehicles, namely Perodua Bezza, Perodua Myvi, Toyota Vios, Proton Saga, Proton Iriz and two lorries.

"There was a female victim trapped in a Perodua Bezza vehicle and the fire brigade managed to remove the victim but she was confirmed dead at the scene," he said in a statement on Tuesday night.
