A young cyclist was fatally run over by a truck driver who, upon seeing what happened, fled; It occurred on the Interior Circuit in the Atlampa neighborhood

MIGUEL HIDALGO, Mexico City.- A tragic accident occurred on the morning of this Tuesday, October 17, on the side of the Interior Circuit at Nopaltzin Street in the Tlaxpana neighborhood.

A young cyclist who was heading towards the south of the capital was projected and later run over by the driver of a red cargo truck who, upon realizing the incident, fled.

Passersby who were passing by the place immediately covered his face with a vest because unfortunately the rear tires of the unit passed over his head so death was instantaneous.

Paramedics from ambulance 05 of the Miguel Hidalgo mayor's office were the first to go to the site after the call from the police elements of the Auxiliary Police (PA) and upon verifying the victim, they diagnosed instant death.

The area was cordoned off to allow the work of the experts from the Attorney General's Office (FGJ), so the sidewalk and the far right lane remained cordoned off until the conclusion of the expert work.

The driver responsible for this homicide was arrested kilometers ahead, thanks to timely police action and the video surveillance fence implemented by C5 through cameras in the area.
