Trailer rips leave three dead and several injured in Hidalgo

  A tractor-trailer drag event in the community of Santa Monica, Hidalgo , was marred by an accident when one of the vehicles lost control and ran over several of the spectators  who were enjoying the show without adequate safety measures, due to As a result, three people died at the scene.

  
  
  

  The event took place on the afternoon of Sunday, May 5, on the main street of the Epazoyucan community, Hidalgo, where hundreds of people gathered to attend the trailer drag event  , however , one of the trucks ended up head towards the public and ran over the attendees who were on the side of the road.

  According to testimonies, it was revealed that the tractor-trailer units passed to one side of the crowd, and these trucks even entered the street without any precautions or restrictions that could prevent accidents. 

  
  
  

  It should be noted that until now, municipal authorities have not provided information about the absence of security measures and protocols to carry out the event.

  
  
  

  Due to the incident, at least 12 people suffered injuries and three others died at the scene, so ministerial authorities and experts went to the site to carry out various investigation tasks. Likewise, members of the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) arrived at the scene to carry out the removal of the bodies.
