A new case of femicide occurred on the evening of Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in the Quintas del Sur neighborhood of Ciudad Bolívar, at the hands of an active-duty officer of the Bogotá Metropolitan Police.
According to information provided by authorities, the incident occurred at a beauty salon where the victim worked. The officer arrived there and, without saying a word, fired his service weapon, killing his partner. After committing the crime, he took his own life with the same firearm.
