On Sunday morning, the small town of Murici, located in the Zona da Mata region of Alagoas, was the scene of a tragedy that shocked local residents. A 25-year-old man and a 17-year-old teenager, who belonged to the same family, were brutally shot to death after an argument over loud music.


According to information provided by the Military Police (PM), the victims were at home listening to loud music when they were approached by their neighbor, known as “Zé do Peixe”, armed with a knife, who demanded that the music be turned off. The conflict escalated quickly, resulting in tragic consequences.


The teenager, while following Zé do Peixe to his home, was shot and, despite trying to escape, did not survive his injuries and ended up dying inside his home. The young man's uncle, who witnessed the terrible scene, decided to confront the attacker and ended up facing the same fatal fate. In a video circulating on social media, it is possible to see the distressing moment in which the uncle tries to hit the suspect with an axe, being shot and later brutally murdered with his own weapon.


After committing the murders, the perpetrator of the crimes managed to flee the scene, leaving behind a trail of pain and violence. The Military Police of the 2nd BPM mobilized efforts to locate the person responsible, but so far he remains at large. The Criminalistics Institute (IC) and the Legal Medical Institute (IML) were called to carry out the necessary procedures given the gravity of the events.


The local community is dismayed by the violence that has ravaged their streets and calls for justice in the face of this unprecedented tragedy. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances that led to this tragic outcome and to capture the perpetrator of the heinous acts that took the lives of two innocent people.
