Luis Alberto Mantilla Villamizar, 28, known in the underworld as ‘La Mechuda’, was the victim of a violent attack this morning in the Miradores neighborhood of Floridablanca. The murder, perpetrated by a hitman, occurred around 7:56 a.m. on Carrera 45 #146C, in the lower part of the Prados del Sur sector.

According to preliminary reports, the attacker approached the scene in a premeditated action and after committing the crime, he quickly fled down 146C Street. The victim's ex-partner told authorities that the killer fled alone, although it is still unknown whether he could have had the help of an accomplice.

The victim, who had no criminal record, was known in the area for his work in construction, specifically in the installation of drywall sheets. Mantilla Villamizar's relatives confirmed that he was linked to the construction sector and denied any link to illegal activities.

This attack appears to be related to a conflict in which 'La Mechuda' was a key figure, being the right-hand man of alias 'Chorizo', who was also recently the target of an attack in the Nueva Colombia neighborhood.

Authorities are investigating the motive for the crime and have indicated that the hitman who carried out the murder was approximately 1.68 meters tall and was around 37 years old. Witnesses said the attacker had a peculiar way of running, as if he was limping.

The case remains under investigation as authorities try to clarify the details and motives behind this violent act.
