With his hands tied behind his back and several gunshots to his body, Marco Leone B. de Souza, 31, was found dead on Monday afternoon (19/08), on the Ipiranga branch , Jorge Teixeira neighborhood, East of Manaus.

Military police officers from the 30th Community Interactive Company (Cicom) initially responded to the incident. A video shared on social media shows the victim hours earlier inside a car.

In the recording made on a cell phone, Marco Leone, known as “Marcos Doido”, appears scared and with a shirt around his neck. He speaks with difficulty after being forced to do so by members of the Comando Vermelho (CV).

Marco Leone was allegedly a drug user and resident of the Valparaíso community, located on the border between the Cidade de Deus and Jorge Teixeira neighborhoods, respectively, North and East zones.

Reports are that he said he was a member of the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) faction and his comment reached the leadership of the Rio de Janeiro faction installed in the community. The victim's death was filmed by the criminals.
