Two young people were found lying on the side of the Baranoa – Polonuevo road, at kilometer 5, near the Paraíso farm.
The victims were identified as Dawerd Daniel Cera Cervantes, 21 years old, working as a nursing assistant with a gunshot wound to the thorax, and Angela Michelle Orozco Iglesias, 26 years old, with a gunshot wound to the head.
The victims were travelling as passengers on two different motorcycles, heading towards Baranoa; the woman was taken injured to the Baranoa municipal hospital where she died moments later, and the injured man was left lying without vital signs at the scene.
Darwen Cera, a resident of Soledad Atlántico, had been staying in Polo Nuevo for a week.
