A 24-year-old man died after colliding with a forklift on Monday afternoon (22), in Cidade de Deus, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro.
According to the Rio de Janeiro Fire Department, the call was received around 3:25 pm. The victim is Brendon Geovani Guimarães, who did not survive the impact of the collision and died at the scene.
The forklift belongs to Supermercados Unidos and, at the time of the accident, was being operated by an employee of the unit. The establishment's security cameras recorded the incident.
The video shows the employee operating the machine to unload goods on a street. A few seconds later, the motorcyclist appears approaching the equipment. When trying to pass between the forklift and the sidewalk, he is hit head on by the machine and falls to the ground.
