The homicide occurred on Tuesday night (25) inside a bar in the city center.
Witnesses reported that two individuals arrived on a motorcycle, with the passenger wearing a hood. The passenger quickly got off and shot the victim in the head. They then fled, returning moments later to fire two more shots. Welington was rescued by SAMU and taken to the Santa Rita Municipal Hospital, where he died.
Police authorities are conducting an intensive investigation, focusing on several lines of inquiry to clarify the crime. The Military Police carried out operations in the surrounding areas and in nearby villages, however, the perpetrators of the crime have not yet been located.
