This is a metod used to reanimate what was previously considered dead heart tissue so it can be used for an organ transplant. Previously if an organ donor died they would check if the heart was warm and beating so they could use it for an organ transplant if someone needed a new heart, however if it was still and cold it was concidered unusable for an organ transplant. Nowadays they have found that pumping living blood from matching blood donors through the heart while the heart is beating by runing electricity through the heart "wakes" the heart up back from "the dead", so it can be used in an organ transplant for someone who needs a new heart.
