On Monday afternoon, a bank guard from the Sunset company responded to an attempted robbery at a branch located in Madureira, Rio de Janeiro, resulting in the death of one of the thieves. The incident occurred at a busy time at the establishment, which further increased tension between customers and employees present.

According to witnesses, two armed men entered the agency around 3 pm, announcing the robbery. One of them, armed with a revolver, allegedly threatened the tellers and demanded that the tellers' money be handed over quickly.
