On the morning of May 1, talking to reporters from SGGP Newspaper, leaders of Vinh Cuu District People's Committee confirmed that a boiler explosion accident had just occurred in the area, killing 6 people and injuring 7 people at Binh Minh Wood Company, Thien Tan.

Before that, at about 9:00 a.m. on the same day, at Binh Minh Wood Company, many workers came to work when suddenly a loud explosion rang out. Everyone panicked and checked, discovering that many people were injured, others lying motionless, with many objects scattered around.

Initially, the authorities reported that among the 13 victims, 6 died and 7 were injured. The scene where the incident occurred was sealed off. The police were present to examine and investigate the case. Dong Nai province's health sector has turned on a "red alert", sending many ambulances and doctors to the scene to support the victims.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tu, Sales Department of Binh Minh Wood Company (Thien Tan commune, Vinh Cuu district), at the time of the incident there were 30-40 workers working in the area where the incident occurred. Mr. Tu added that 6 people died at the scene, 1 person was undergoing emergency surgery, and 4 people were waiting to be taken into emergency surgery.

By 11 a.m. on May 1, 3/5 patients admitted to the emergency room at Thong Nhat General Hospital had surgery and were transferred to the operating room for surgery, including: D.X.T. (34 years old) suffered multiple injuries to the chest, abdomen, skin abrasions all over the body, was diagnosed with multiple injuries, right rib fracture, blood spill, right pneumothorax, grade 4 liver injury, kidney injury ; L.V.T. (33 years old) had a complicated injury to the abdomen on the right flank, a liver injury, and was monitored for a foreign body; D.V.T. (41 years old) suffered a complicated head injury and was monitored for blunt abdominal trauma.

The remaining 2 cases are continuing to be monitored and treated at the Emergency Department: H.V.K. (46 years old) suffered a complicated shoulder injury, brachial plexus paralysis, and head injury; L.V.B. (27 years old) suffered an open fracture of the humerus, a head injury, and a kidney injury.
