At 6:30 am on April 30, the 38-year-old driver of the Omoda car drove to the intersection of Logvinenko and Andreevka streets at a prohibitory traffic light and hit a Volkswagen car at high speed. The impact spun the black car and threw it across several lanes onto the side of the road.

The airbag deployed in the Volkswagen, but it did not help - the 26-year-old driver died on the spot. In Andreevka's chat they write that he was going to work in Sheremetyevo, where he had recently gotten a job; before that he worked at Leroy Merlin for four years.

Also during the accident, a regional bus (carrier Goodwill) and a taxi standing at the intersection were hit.

The culprit of the accident, the Omoda driver, became notorious in early March when, after driving in oncoming traffic, ramming a traffic police car while running away from the police. He was drunk then too. A criminal case was opened against him for the use of violence against a government official (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). In court, during the consideration of related administrative cases, he admitted guilt and repented.

Then the investigation asked to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention, but Judge Elena Kozlova rejected this request. As a preventive measure, he was given a ban on certain actions (which ones are unknown). Moreover, four years ago he was already prosecuted under an administrative article about disobedience to a lawful demand of a police officer (Part 1 of Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation).
