Medellín, Colombia

A shooting occurred around noon this Thursday, April 25, in the Belén La Gloria neighborhood, in Medellín. Apparently, two armed men arrived at a restaurant in the area to rob customers.

The incident occurred on Highway 83, at the intersection with Street 15A. A subject, who arrived accompanied by another on a motorcycle, entered the place in order to rob the people who were eating, but a bodyguard, who was in the restaurant, shot the two men in retaliation.

Agents from the Sijín and the Police Intelligence Directorate went to the site to remove the body and clarify the facts. Likewise, it was learned that the man who shot at the thieves was taken to the Prosecutor's Office and his weapon was seized.

In videos that have been spread through social networks you can see how one of the thieves is left lying on the public road, while the individual who was injured was taken to a care center by the authorities.

On video: this was the frustrated robbery in the Belén neighborhood that left a man dead

  Recently, videos have emerged of the frustrated robbery in a restaurant in the Belén La Gloria neighborhood in western Medellín, in which an alleged thief was killed and another injured.

  
  
  

  According to a neighboring security camera, the frustrated crime occurred at 12:59 pm this Thursday, April 25, when a thief tried to rob diners of the establishment located on Carrera 83 and Calle 15A.

  
  
  

  The thief did not take into account that one of those present was an armed escort, who activated his protected weapon against the man and his accomplice who was waiting for him on a motorcycle on the sidewalk of the business.

  
  
  

  The video shows how the alleged thief who entered the business tried to flee, but was wounded in the lower part of his body, causing him to collapse on the street. He had better luck than his accomplice, since, after receiving several hits, he fell dead on the platform and on the motorcycle that was still running.

  During the early hours of the afternoon, agents from the Sijín and the Police Intelligence Directorate were deployed to the area to clarify the facts and remove the body. For now, the identity of the thieves has not been revealed.
