Tragic accident in San Miguel Hatillo SC involves three vehicles and a pedestrian
A multiple collision between three vehicles and a pedestrian left one person dead and two injured on the Sánchez Highway, San Miguel sector, Hatillo SC. The tragic incident occurred in an East-West direction, at approximately 11:27 in the morning on Thursday April 18, 2024.
The first vehicle involved was being driven by Samuel Beltre Romero, 22 years old, and he held the position of Claro contractor. Beltre Romero was injured in the accident and was treated and transferred by the 9-1-1 Health Unit to the Juan Pablo Pina SC Hospital. The collision occurred when Beltre Romero ran over Gina María Arias Mateo, 47, who was walking along the edge of the road. Tragically, Arias Mateo died at the scene of the accident.
The body of Gina María Arias Mateo was lifted by her relatives and they proceeded to remove it from the place by their own means.
