This Thursday morning, experts from the Acapulco Regional Prosecutor's Office opened an investigation file for the murder of the head of bodyguards of Tomás Hernández Palma, mayor of San Marcos, Guerrero , and candidate for local deputy for district 13 as standard bearer of the coalition PRI-PAN-PRD.

Reports from local authorities indicated that the victim's body had multiple gunshot wounds and signs of torture, in addition to the detachment of his head from his body. Witnesses stated that around 6:00 in the morning the body and head were thrown from a car in which several armed men were traveling.
