A fisherman from a vessel in the state of Pará was stabbed to death this Wednesday morning (17), in the Amapá municipality of Calçoene, 360 km from Macapá. The homicide occurred around 9:30 am, in Travessa Bacabeiras, in the Beira Rio neighborhood.

The victim was identified as Wendel Yuri Mamede Brito, of unknown age. According to information from the 12th Battalion of the Amapá Military Police, witnesses said that fishermen from Pará were on a vessel anchored in the Port of Calçoene, on the Boat Daniel II, a few days ago. And this morning there was a fight between them.

According to a report from the Integrated Social Defense Operations Center (Ciodes), the military found that three offenders stabbed Yuri Mamede. He was struck several times and died with one of the knives stuck in his back.

According to the police, the offenders were from another vessel that is also anchored in the port. After the crime, they fled the scene by swimming. Witnesses filmed the moment they crossed the Calçoene River from the shore to the other bank where there is a forest, where they fled.
