An 11-year-old child was run over after an accident between a car and a motorcycle in the Periolo neighborhood in Cascavel, in the west of Paraná, this Monday morning (8). The 35-year-old motorcyclist was also injured.
As determined by Portal Catve.com, the Chevrolet Prisma model car was traveling along Buenos Aires Street, while the motorcycle followed the motorcycle on Florêncio Galafassi Street. The crash happened at the intersection of roads.
After the impact, the car invaded the sidewalk and hit the girl who was walking on Buenos Aires Street.
According to Lieutenant Felipe Alves de Carvalho from the Fire Department, the child suffered a contusion to the skull, a suspected facial fracture, a closed femur fracture and a suspected pelvic fracture, needing to be taken to the HU.
The motorcyclist suffered a fractured rib and was taken to the Tancredo Neves Emergency Care Unit (UPA).
The Fire Department doctor and two Siate ambulances were mobilized to respond to the incident. On Buenos Aires Street, as you can see in the images, there is no STOP sign and the signage is off, which may have contributed to the accident.
