Heartbreaking video shows how a man died hugging his friend before being run over last night in Cariari, Pococí

In a tragic event that occurred in Astua Pirie, Cariari de Limón, one person lost their life and another was seriously injured after being run over by a light vehicle around 8:00 at night.

Those affected, two men who were walking together on the side of the road, were abruptly hit by the car, according to witnesses to the incident.

At the time of the accident, the individuals were hugging, an action that unfortunately coincided with the passing of the vehicle that hit them.

As a result of the impact, one of the pedestrians died instantly at the scene, while the other was urgently transferred to the Cariari Clinic. The survivor is in critical condition, suffering from the amputation of his right arm due to the severity of the accident.

This unfortunate incident has shocked the local community, reiterating the importance of caution for both pedestrians and drivers on public roads.

A security camera in the area recorded how this tragic accident occurred. Apparently both men had been drinking, however neither was driving. Unfortunately this prevented them from reacting quickly when the vehicle was coming from the front.
