Juan Pablo Montes de Oca , a licensed federal representative of the Green Party , died this Thursday in a small plane accident along with members of his family and the pilot of the aircraft.

According to the first reports, the Green Ecologist Party legislator left the Chiapas capital, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, towards Palenque along with family members, but the ship collapsed in a wasteland for an unknown cause. So far, the death of eight people and the pilot of the small plane have been reported.

Montes de Oca was currently serving as political coordinator of the electoral campaign of Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar for the governorship of Chiapas, for Morena.

On his social networks Eduardo Ramírez, also a licensed senator, reported the death of the political coordinator.

“This news is very difficult for me, it is a hard blow in my life and in the lives of many people from Chiapas. Knowing that a man who walked with me for many years in which we dreamed together of a better Chiapas, today leaves for other heavenly paths, leaves me with the emptiness and pain of irreplaceable brothers,” he wrote.
