José Ricardo Fajardo Delgado, lawyer and aspiring governor of Escuintla, was killed this Tuesday, March 26, by a hired assassin, reported authorities.

The victim, 72 years old, was shot in front of his legal office, on 8th street, between 5th and 6th avenues in zone 1 of Escuintla, informed sources of the National Civil Police (PNC).

According to information provided by the PNC, a man arrived on foot to the victim's office and shot her several times and escaped in a hurry.

At some distance another subject was waiting for him on a motorcycle and they fled.

The police reported that at that moment a chase by motorized commandos began, resulting in the arrest of two suspects in the crime.

According to the police report, motorized agents captured Remigio Aroldo Castro Roldán, 33 years old, when he tried to flee in a vacant lot after the armed act.

He was carrying a revolver type firearm, was wearing women's clothing and was wearing a braided wig.

The capture of Elinton Geovani Ramírez López, 18, who was driving a motorcycle that was allegedly used to escape after the crime, was also reported.
