Authorities are investigating a possible political motive behind the murder of Yair Martín Romero Segura, candidate for federal deputy of Morena, by members of the Union of Unions and National Organizations (USON), an organization that promotes the candidacy of legislator Azucena Cisneros Coss for the mayor of Ecatepec.

Yair Martín Romero Segura and his brother Joan Martín were murdered on February 10 in the community of Santa Clara Coatitla in said municipality by a group of armed men belonging to the Uson, one of whom was already arrested by authorities of the State of Mexico. .

The authorities are investigating whether the double crime is related to the political activity of Yair Martín Romero Segura, who aspired to be Morena's candidate for federal deputy for the 16th district of Ecatepec.

Days before the homicide, Romero Segura announced in a press conference that he was joining the political project of the municipality's first councilor, Ernesto Santillán Ramírez, the main adversary of deputy Cisneros Coss in the race for the municipal presidency.

Repeatedly, the leaders of Uson, Guillermo and Misael Fragoso, have publicly shown the organization's support for the legislator's aspirations, within the framework of Morena's internal contest to designate a candidate for one of the most important mayoralties in the country. country, by the number of voters it represents.

The investigations seek to establish whether Yair Martín's decision to join, together with his organization, a political project contrary to that of the deputy, motivated the attack against him by members of the Union of National Unions and Organizations (USON).

This Wednesday the arrest of Enrique N., who was carrying a credential that accredits him as a member of Uson, as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of the Romero Segura brothers, was announced.

In this regard, representative Azucena Cisneros Coss this Thursday called a press conference and to do so, she used the entire apparatus, as well as the resources of the Congress of the State of Mexico to promote herself.

Under the argument of publicizing law initiatives, he dedicated the time to accusing the social media of a dirty war against him, but never explained how he appeared in a video alongside Alejandro Gilmare “N”, alias El Choko and leader of the group “La Chokiza” who are being investigated by the Attorney General's Office for the crimes of extortion, drug dealing and rent collection, much less how these subjects dedicate themselves to balancing homes in Ecatepec when neighbors fall behind with the payment of loans called drop by drop.
