SHOT IN THE HEAD: Police kill a subject who attacked another element in Paraíso Maya

CANCUN.- A man who attacked a police officer with a machete died last night, after being shot in the head by another element, this in the Paraíso Maya subdivision , in Superblock 107.

According to the first versions, a report to the 911 emergency number alerted about the presence of a group of men who were drinking alcoholic beverages on Cenote Lagarto Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police found the group of men and when trying to subdue one of them, another pulled out a machete and amputated four fingers of one of the officers . At that moment, another police officer pulled out his gun and shot the civilian in the head, who died at the scene.

Paramedics went to the scene, who provided first aid to the injured uniformed man, who was transferred to the IMSS of Region 510.

Meanwhile, the area was cordoned off waiting for the staff of the State Attorney General's Office to begin the investigations and transfer the body to the facilities of the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo).
