A fire broke out on the eighth floor of a hotel on Thursday afternoon (25), on Avenida Governador José Malcher, in the São Brás district of Belém. A 36-year-old man who was staying there died.
The fire was brought under control by the fire brigade of the Sagres Hotel itself. Fire department teams found a lot of cigarettes and beer cans in the apartment.
At the time of the blaze, Avenida Governador José Malcher had to be closed for the work of the Military Police and the Fire Brigade.
According to the teams working to control the fire, the man was 36 years old and from the state of São Paulo.
