An ice pick fell from the sky and a male college student was hit and killed. CCTV revealed the moment of the incident

On January 5, a male student at Ludong University in Yantai, Shandong Province was hit by an ice pick falling from the eaves and fell to the ground. He suffered severe brain injury and died after being sent to the hospital where rescue efforts failed.

CCTV footage of the incident was exposed, showing two ice picks falling from the sky one after another. The first ice pick landed at the male student's feet, and the second giant ice pick hit him half a second later.

The incident occurred at the entrance of a bank on the ground floor of No. 3 Xueyuan Building on the South Campus of Ludong University. The third floor of the same building is the student dormitory. Pictures from the scene showed that the boy in black fell to the ground with blood on his mouth and nose and an ice pick next to his head.

According to students at the school, the boy who had the accident was a senior. After the incident, the school issued notices about ice picks to all classes that night, reminding students to stay away from buildings with hanging ice picks and be wary of falling ice picks.

Staff at the South Branch of Yantaishan Hospital confirmed that the student suffered a severe craniocerebral injury and died despite ineffective resuscitation. “When we arrived at the hospital at 10 o'clock on the 5th, we were rescuing them until the afternoon. We gave up the resuscitation after our family members came over. For six or seven hours."
