Near Minsk, a woman ran over her 5-year-old son, who fell out of the car. Why were four protocols drawn up?

In the village of Kopische, Minsk region, on the morning of Friday, November 3, in a parking lot in the courtyard of a residential high-rise building, a 5-year-old boy fell under the wheels of a car. His 36-year-old mother was driving - she did not notice that her son did not have time to climb into the back seat of the car and began to drive away from the parking lot. As a result, the child fell and fell under the rear wheel of the car. The police department of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee showed a video of the incident and told how the inattentive mother was punished.

It all happened around 08:15 in the courtyard of a residential building on Yakovleva Street. Footage from an outdoor surveillance camera shows a woman with two children getting into a red Hyundai. One child safely climbs into the back seat, closing the door behind him while his mother puts something in the trunk, while another boy hesitates at the rear right door and does not have time to climb into the seat. The woman not only did not fasten her children with seat belts, but did not even make sure that both of her children got into the car on their own, and began to drive away from the parking lot.

As a result, the boy fell out of the already moving car. Judging by the video, he was run over by the rear right wheel. According to the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, he was taken to the hospital with his injuries.

It is noteworthy that the mother, noticing what had happened, immediately ran out of the car, but did not stop it and the car continued moving - with the second child inside. Fortunately, the speed was low and the Hyundai actually just ran into the wall of the house.

The police reported that four administrative violation reports had already been drawn up against the driver:

• for committing an accident;


• for leaving the scene of an accident;


• for violating the rules for transporting minor passengers;


• for lack of compulsory insurance.

The police did not specify what punishment the inattentive mother faces in the aggregate.
