A video shows the moment when civil police officer Eduardo Antônio Brazzolin was shot and killed by a PM in front of the Guarujá Police Station, on the coast of São Paulo. In the images, obtained by g1 this Friday (1st), it is possible to see that he first shot in the direction of the military police after arguing with them and being knocked to the ground.

According to g1, two police officers, whose identities were not disclosed, were reportedly hit by Brazzolin's shots, one in the shoulder and the other grazing the face. They both survived. The civil police officer, in turn, died at the scene.

Surveillance cameras captured the incident outside the police station. At the time, Brazzolin was wearing a tank top and shorts. He argued with three police officers along with his adult son.

In the video, Brazzolin appears to be getting excited with the military police officers and being held by his son, even during the argument. Afterwards, he is immobilized and knocked to the ground by one of the agents. The man pulled out his gun and fired in their direction.

Finally, a police officer holding a rifle went behind a car and shot Brazzolin, who then died, sitting on the sidewalk of the police station.

Defenses

g1 contacted lawyer Renato Cardoso, who represents Brazzolin's family . According to the professional, who also had access to the images, the civil police officer “would not have the action to shoot at the PMs in good conscience if he did not have previous 'problems'” with two of them.

According to Cardoso, these two agents 'pursued' Brazzolin's son, after the civil police officer reported them for an incident of alleged execution of a young man in the city, who was also a friend of Brazzolin's son.
