Elderly man dies stung by bees on the street in Minas Gerais. Manoel Honorato dos Santos was 72 years old and was one of the victims of a swarm of bees. He was rescued to the hospital and was stable, but had complications and couldn't resist.
It was confirmed, on the morning of this Friday (24), the death of the elderly man attacked by bees while passing through a street in the central region of Itaipé, in the Mucuri Valley. He was identified as Manoel Honorato dos Santos, 72 years old.
Manoel was admitted to Hospital Nossa Senhora do Patrocínio, in Itaipé, and died during transfer to Hospital Santa Rosália, in Teófilo Otoni. According to a medical statement, the clinical status of the elderly man before his death was stable, but he had complications due to the bee stings.
The elderly man was attacked this Thursday afternoon (23). Images released on social media (see the article below) show the moment he falls to the ground and, wrapped in a plastic bag, tries to protect himself.
In addition to the elderly, four other people were admitted to the hospital in Itaipé, also victims of the bee swarm attack. They were treated and released.

This Thursday (23), people passing by a street in Itaipé, were surprised by an attack of bees. According to the city's Civil Defense, the swarm had about 10,000 bees of the African species and the hypothesis is that it was migrating from one place to another, when they must have been scared and attacked people.
The City Hall of Itaipé informed, in a note, that, after the attack, the traffic was closed and that the situation was controlled by Beekeepers.
