A man was shot dead inside a supermarket in Ibirité , in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte. Two suspects broke into the store and fired shots. Two children, aged 4 and 13, were hit and had minor injuries . The crime took place on Tuesday night (31).

According to the police record, 26-year-old Alessandro Costa Reis – also known as “Baianinho” , left the supermarket to store his groceries with his partner and 1-year-old daughter, when he was surprised by the hooded suspects. He tried to flee inside the store, but was pursued by the criminals .

A 13-year-old girl was grazed in the abdomen. A 4-year-old boy was shot in the right hand . The two were rescued at the Municipal Hospital of Ibirité, which is across the street. The two are not in danger of dying.

According to the Military Police, Baianinho had convictions for homicide, drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons .

According to the PM, witnesses were unable to identify the license plate of the car used by the suspects. They fled shortly after the crime.

Until the last update of this report, no one had been arrested.
