A man was arrested in the El Monte commune this Saturday morning after being accused of domestic violence and attempting to attack a police officer with a cement block .

The moment of the arrest was captured on video showing the moment a police officer shot him in the leg.

According to information provided by Carabineros, the incident occurred at the intersection of Los Libertadores Avenue and Pasaje Chungará in the El Monte commune at 10:40 a.m.

Uniforms from the twenty-third Talagante police station arrived at the scene, where they found the man where he had started throwing stones at the police.

After speaking, he walked away from the police and grabbed a cinder block. Then, when he raised his arm, clearly intending to throw it, the uniformed officer shot him in the left leg, at knee height.

For this reason, an ambulance was called and the accused was transferred to Cesfam de El Monte.
